Blue Fin Building wins Top Environmental Award

It’s official – Blue Fin Venue has truly green credentials.

Blue Fin Building won the Commitment to the Environment Award at the Charity Times, Better Society Awards 2015. The event recognises the efforts that commercial companies make in order to create a better society for all. The Blue Fin Building team were presented with the accolade for their ongoing efforts to build upon their already impressive green credentials, including reducing energy consumption, recycling and implementing a scheme which converts used cooking oils from the catering operations into bio-fuel.

CEO of Time Inc. (UK) Ltd (previous owners) Marcus Rich says: “We could have considered that the ‘green’ building credentials of the Blue Fin Building meant we didn’t need to look for improvements or develop new ideas around reducing our carbon footprint. It’s great credit not only to the efforts of our facilities management team that we have been recognised in this way, but also to our employees for remaining engaged in environmental improvements that you have actioned yourselves.”
